Unforgettable Prayer Encounters
♥️Greetings to our dear PRAYER IGNITERS! In 2005, Robert (now in heaven) and Toby Corn were amongst the first people with whom we shared God’s call on our lives to the joy of Igniting Prayer Action. To our surprise this month, we received this heart-moving testimony via a card from Toby:
“Colin, I’ve thought of you recently. I broke my femur Christmas Day, and I’m just now getting home after going through recuperation, which they tell me will take 6-8 months.
While I was in Brookhaven for 27 days, I wanted to befriend my caretakers in and out of my room each day. So, I thought of you and how you continually ask people: ‘How can I pray for you?’ So… I started saying, ‘I’m taking prayer requests today: How can I pray for you?’
Colin, I have to say, nurses, I didn’t even know, looked at me, surprised, but started pouring out their hearts! I was overwhelmed; there were several caretakers who started coming to my room just to talk whenever they had a break in their day. Several came to kiss me good night! God allowed me to have the broken femur and allowed me the courage to reach out to those He brought across my path.

Mike Hooper’s Testimony Of Waiting on God
Pastors Mike and Liz Hooper— Church on the Lake in Livingston, Texas.
“I started my 5th year of Waiting on God on January 3rd, 2026. My life will never be the same. It’s a lifestyle, my way of life. The first year was filled with miracles, ministry expansion, and lots of new beginnings.
In the years that have followed, Waiting on God has brought a richness and a closeness with Jesus, who has walked us through many dangers, toils, and snares. In year two, I had a lifesaving surgery for a herniated umbilical cord that strangled my bowel. That was followed by supernatural strength to walk our congregation through a violent crime that involved a double murder.
This past year, feeling called at the beginning of the year to rest, my wife and I planned a 30-day sabbatical following the anniversary of 40 years of ministry.
On day 18, I suffered a massive heart attack that resulted in a three-way bypass and an ablation. It happened on August 22nd (Wait on God for the certainty of blessing). We’d had a beautiful day of walking, bike riding, and having dinner by the river. We returned to the hotel, arrived at our room, my wife went to get ice, and that is the last thing I remember. Liz gave me CPR for 7 minutes until paramedics arrived, saving my life. I stand today waiting for the certainty of the blessing to come as I continually wait only on God!!!”

“Oh, Lord God in heaven, we thank and praise You for the 21 years You’ve faithfully provided to the Millar’s joy of Igniting Prayer Action to neighbors and nations! Now Lord, together, we cry out to You to open the windows of heaven. Please Lord, bring in the $36,000 shortfall and increase IPA’s monthly gifts by $3,000/month. Oh God, we ask You to do this before March 30th, 2026. This helps us continue the quiet under-girding that sustains this prayer-raising work You’ve called us to. It makes stories like Toby’s and Mike’s possible. We pray this prayer in the matchless name of Jesus Christ, Your Son and our Savior, amen.”
