Our very dear God Waiters, over the past three months God has and is doing an Isaiah 54:2 work with us. He has orchestrated a mighty move of expanding our boundaries and taking the concepts of PRAY NOW and Waiting on God to the ends of the earth!
“Enlarge the place of your tent, and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out; do not hold back; lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes.” Isaiah 54:2

Tahseer and Saba Shoukat— Pakistan
Through our wonderful five-year partnership with our spiritual-adopted son and daughter, Tahseer and Saba Shoukat in Pakistan, we’ve taken another huge leap forward! God provided funding for a 2nd printing of 10,000 Waiting on God books in 3 languages. Since coming off the press last month, they’re already being distributed across the Middle East and are currently in Turkey.
Additionally, the Lord has used three dear and influential friendship connections who have been instrumental in bringing God’s promise of PRAY NOW to fruition. Allow us to share their powerful testimonies here.
Meet Jan de Chambrier, our PRAY NOW book collaborator!
For now, I’m calling this new book Thriving in the PRAY NOW Adventure with Jesus, since we’re still waiting on God for His official title! Yet, we are excited about this project. I’ve been collaborating with my dear friend and ministry partner of more than 20 years, author Jan de Chambrier.
Jan is a gifted Christian writer who sees her role in this project as a “prophetic scribe.” She’s capturing the stories God has written through decades of PRAY NOW adventures and turning them into an invitation for others to join Jesus in His work.
The following is an excerpt from Jan’s PREFACE that beautifully captures our hearts:
We now see that it is time for the Lord’s vision for this book to be broadcast—to be scattered abroad—with the glory stories of Jesus manifested through the power of prayer. As the Holy Spirit refined our vision, we sensed that the most effective approach would be for me to take the role of a prophetic scribe.
In effect, I’ll serve as a Holy Ghost writer, capturing the essence of Colin’s globetrotting, hitchhiking 150,000 miles across 35 nations, along with his 30 years of PRAY NOW adventures with Jesus. Daily, he has spontaneously prayed for tens of thousands of people in every conceivable circumstance after waiting for the Lord to highlight those individuals and situations to him. Colin described our joint endeavor as a three-legged race—the Holy Spirit in the middle as we keep in step with Him.
I preface every chapter with a Scripture verse relevant to Colin’s stories and conclude each one with a brief reflection using our model of ‘Wait—Watch—Pray,’ including a verse for meditation, questions to ponder, and prayer. I have asked for Colin’s permission to exercise the creative imagination given to me by the Holy Spirit to augment aspects of his stories that will enhance the reader’s experience, including elaborations on Scripture passages, colorful descriptions of people and places I may not even know, and personal details that will help bring these accounts to life.
While there are times when it may seem as if I’m putting words in Colin’s mouth, it is always with an openly collaborative intent to partner with the Holy Spirit in drawing others closer to Him.
And then Jan captures the mission of the PRAY NOW book in these words:
Our mission is to excite and ignite the body of Christ throughout the world to wait for the Lord’s leading, watch to see how we can partner with Him, and then to PRAY NOW. We have every expectation that the Lord is eagerly waiting for each reader to partner with Him in seeing His kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. Come and join us in what the Lord is doing. His arms are open wide.
Overall, Jan de Chambrier is a passionate lover of Jesus, answering His call to teach to the nations with her husband, Philippe. Currently the Global Prayer Ambassadors for Missional International Church Network, they have raised a team of intercessors to pray for pastors and leaders around the world and train their congregations in prayer.
Jan, a professional musician and former professor at Rice University, is also the author of several books. She delights in sharing testimonies of the great things Jesus has done through her ministry of healing prayer. Learn more about Jan’s ministry at www.glimpsesofhope.org.
That is our heart.
We didn’t intend for this book to be simply about my PRAY NOW stories. Instead, we’d like it to become an invitation for you to begin living your own PRAY NOW stories with Jesus!

Collin Sims— Dallas, TX
I first met the Sims family at our church in The Woodlands, TX, in 1998. I was Collin Sims’ kindergarten teacher and got to baptize him! We have journeyed closely together as families and ministry partners.
Now Collin is a very accomplished freelance director and cinematographer based in Dallas, TX. And these days, he’s been drawn to light, film, and a strong cup of coffee. Collin crafts visual stories that blend narrative and documentary styles. His visual stories are creative works that entertain and resonate with audiences, leaving a lasting impact. Like Jan, Collin and I are also collaborating on an exciting project. This time, we’re producing a video vignette of our PRAY NOW adventures with Jesus. This project will involve his team of three over two days to produce a 4- to 5-minute video. We will then market the video through various social media platforms for maximum impact. The Lord led us to align the video with the book’s January publication, visually promoting and marketing the book.

James Mlali— Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
In partnership with my longtime friend, Pastor James Mlali, we’re printing 6000 English and 5000 Ki Swahili Waiting on God books in Tanzania! We are distributing them through multiple conferences and to over 4,000 pastors in late October and early November.
This is how God is using Pastor Mlali and his outreach ministry, Abundant Life Communications and Broadcasting Network! Their mission has miraculously gone from community connections to a community commission, where they’re reaching thousands in Tanzania with the message of Waiting on God!
In other words, they are going forth and multiplying in Dar es Salaam and around the world! At Abundant Life CCIH, we witnessed a radical transformation when their team moved beyond family planning to spiritual ignition. After undergoing intensive training in the Waiting on God and Luke 10 Transformation Program, their perspective shifted, and supernatural power was unleashed.
They took the simple “PRAY NOW” lifestyle into their surrounding communities through face-to-face interactions. Additionally, they showed gratitude by asking the simple, childlike question: “How can I pray for you?” As a result, chains were broken!
- Souls Were Led to Christ: People’s hardened hearts melted when met with immediate, faith-filled prayer in the streets.
- Youth Redeemed: The Gospel directly intervened in young people’s lives, keeping kids in school while also pulling them away from drugs and destructive vices.
- Restoration on the Streets: Homeless drug users living on the streets of Dar es Salaam were met with the love of Christ, leading them into powerful tracks of recovery and total restoration.
- Breaking New Ground: Now, they’re aiming to reach the unreached in their city as the Lord expands borders. He is giving the organization a deeper perspective and an urgent mandate to break new ground among entirely unreached demographics!
At the same time, we are completely out of our own supply of Waiting on God books.
Therefore, we need a third printing of 10,000 copies of our Fourth Edition in Houston.
Tanzania printing: $15,000
