IGNITE May 2025
Dearest Friends, As I watched the glory of God‘s closing signature on May 15th, pictured above in this magnificent sunset, He gave me a new prayer insight.
Here it is: When we pray God‘s word into and over someone’s life, God, through His “Son-sets,” sets the course of that life in the spiritual realm, even more gloriously reflected than in this magnificent sunset.
LET’S PRAY NOW: 🔥❤️
“Oh Lord God, would You use this IGNITE to encourage our Readers to grow in their personal Waiting on God time and PRAY NOW lifestyle in the matchless name of Jesus Christ we pray amen.”🔥🙏
Nancy and me— in our 70s, still thriving and igniting joy-filled prayer!
PRAY NOW GLORY STORIES
As our relationship at the San Marcos Academy continues to deepen, God sovereignly opened a remarkable 5-hour Waiting on God Encounter on the National Day of Prayer. Several pastors and leaders from other churches joined us for one or two-hour cycles.
Hourly Prayer at San Marcos Academy (SMA)
Each hour, we would have co-facilitators, students, and prayer leaders from other churches, who would share the vision, joy, discipline, and practice of Waiting On God.
Our seniors and middle schoolers all came within one hour, so we split into prayer chords of three strands, as seen in the pictures above and below.
God spoke and moved in people‘s hearts as participants read a paragraph, paused in silence, and then prayed into various prayer missions for SMA, our churches, our city, and our nation.
At the end of the meditation and seasons of prayer, everyone waited in silence for 3 to 5 minutes while enjoying and listening to God. His presence was palpable! ♥️🙏🔥
One of the most beautiful God encounters went like this:
🔥🙏“I’ve been going through a bit of a rough patch lately. But God…”
— Quote by an SMA 4th grader.
God brought both our 4th-grade classes and their teachers within one hour. After four minutes of silent listening, I asked if anyone had heard from God or felt an emotional change in their heart.
Immediately, one boy raised his hand and said, “Yes, Papa Prayer Bear, I heard God. I’ve been going through a bit of a rough patch lately. But God told me that He’s “GOT ME,” and everything was going to be OK.”
All I could think was that hearing this kind of God encounter from a fourth grader’s perspective was extremely heart-impacting! These precious children “hear” God talking to them, which should encourage us all to have more childlike faith in hearing God as we learn to live and work in a rhythm of God’s rest.
IF YOU’RE ANXIOUS, GOD SPEAKS THROUGH PRAYER!
Are you anxious or overly concerned about something in your life right now? There’s a divine solution available to you 24/7/365! Simply quiet yourself momentarily to hear God talking to you like He did to our SMA 4th grader. Truthfully, God’s got you, too, and He’s always speaking! 🙌♥️🎷
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10 ESV
A SWITCH IN GIVING 🎷
Instead of asking you to give to IPA this month, we’d like to encourage you in prayer to do something a little different! We want to encourage you to look at other missionary organizations or ministries and consider which one(s) God specifically might have you make a gift to.
Philippians 4:19 says, “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
😊 Chkk-Chirrrrrrrrrrrrrr, in the Joy of Jesus!
