For over a year, we waited, planned, and anticipated our first-ever family vacation with all eight of us. During our time, we watched God joyfully and magnificently roll out eight glorious days of excitement in the 3rd week of May. And amidst the overwhelming and awe-striking beauty of His creation, we explored Yosemite National Park after arriving in San Francisco.
“4He holds in His hands the depths of the earth and the mightiest mountains. 5The sea belongs to Him, for He made it. His hands formed the dry land, too.” Psalms 95:4-5
Intentionally Seize Moments in Eternity with Your Family Members
❤️ So, here we are, experiencing a San Francisco Bay sunset cruise under The Golden Gate Bridge.
❤️Next, Caleb whispered something precious to me at 6:15 am on our first morning in Rush Creek Lodge. He said, “Oupa, can we go on a prayer walk and wait on God?”
❤️ It was also a joy watching our two sons, Nick and Chris, laughing, engaging, renewing, and deepening their friendship together.
❤️ We beheld Nick and Tegan lovingly and playfully heart-connecting with lots of varied times with Caleb and Ella.
❤️Fortunately, all eight of us made the simple hike to Lower Yosemite Falls. And thankfully, we witnessed the exhausted return of Nick and Chris with their beautiful brides, Tegan and Ashley, after making the difficult 8-hour climb to and from the top of Upper Yosemite Falls.
Holding Family Focus First, While Watching God Work Through Peripheral Encounters
The more I wait on God, the greater is my holy expectation of walking in the free upgrade anointing and favor of our God. We arrived at the San Francisco airport, having booked two jeep Cherokee SUVs through SIXT Car Rental.
We connected with the hearts of our two rental agents simply by thanking them and speaking a prayer blessing over them being from Nepal and Afghanistan.
As we talked, I simply asked if they might give us a free upgrade, and Sharika’s immediate response was, “YES, since you asked, we will.” And they gave us two 7-seater Chevrolet Tahoes. They both also thanked us for making their days by praying for them.
Let us PRAY NOW:
“Lord, please lead and guide me in one or both of these opportunities:
- To intentionally say “Thank You” to two people a day.
- Or to give in support of Your work through IPA.”

What a beautiful family! Thank you for sharing.
It’s wonderful and greatly pleases our precious Lord when we spend quality time with our families. It can be a challenge as our family grows and such a blessing when you can manage it. Happy for you and Nancy!
